Riga

The second stop on my recent trip through the Baltics was Riga, a city I knew almost nothing about beyond its relatively recent Soviet past. My expectations weren’t particularly high, especially given my lack of fondness for that era. However, what I found in Riga turned out to be the most unexpected and rewarding part of my entire journey. I can now say that Riga has forever secured its place in my heart as one of Europe’s most underrated cities.

The right accommodation can make or break a trip—especially during longer stays when flexibility is limited. Over the years, I’ve experienced my fair share of both extremes: places that ruined my journey and others that added to an already unforgettable experience.
